Online Healing Teaching

Atlin Family Church

Presented by Dale & Rena Mae McDonald

Welcome to Atlin Family Church. This online session introduces our Healing Series, created to help people understand what the Bible teaches about healing and how to receive what God has already provided through Jesus Christ.

This is a relaxed, conversational teaching meant to encourage, educate, and walk alongside you on your healing journey.

About Atlin Family Church

We are Dale & Rena Mae McDonald, pastors of Atlin Family Church, based in Atlin, British Columbia. While we serve our local community, we also minister online because God’s Word is not limited by geography or time.

Our goal is simple:
to teach the full truth of God’s Word and help people grow in faith so they can receive what God has freely given.

Why a Healing Series?

Healing is one of the primary aspects of Jesus’ earthly ministry. While salvation was His ultimate purpose, Jesus consistently:

  • Preached the Good News
  • Taught the Word of God
  • Healed the sick and delivered the oppressed

Scripture tells us that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed. Healing was not selective, random, or uncertain—it was intentional and complete.

Many people desire healing but struggle because:

  • They feel alone
  • They’ve been taught healing is not for today
  • They’ve elevated experience over Scripture
  • Fear, doubt, or misinformation has shaped their beliefs

This series exists to address those barriers with truth from God’s Word.

You Are Not Meant to Walk Alone

When sickness comes, people often withdraw. Isolation can magnify fear and negative thinking, which affects both mind and body. Scripture teaches that what we think and speak matters—our bodies listen.

You don’t have to face this journey alone.

Our approach includes:

  • Teaching foundational biblical truth
  • Renewing the mind with Scripture
  • Walking with you personally and privately
  • Encouraging faith step by step

Healing Is Rooted in Scripture

The Bible is clear and consistent—from Genesis to Revelation—that healing is part of God’s covenant with His people.

Healing in the Old Testament

  • Abraham prayed, and God healed
  • Hezekiah prayed, and God healed him
  • God sent His Word and healed His people

These accounts pointed forward to Jesus.

Healing Through Jesus

Jesus healed every kind of sickness and disease. Scripture repeatedly states that all who came to Him were healed. There were no exceptions.

Jesus never changed His position on healing—and He never will.

The Cross: A Finished Work

Jesus did not only carry our sins—He carried our sicknesses.

The Bible teaches:

  • By His stripes, we were healed
  • Healing was provided at the cross
  • It is a finished work, not a future possibility

God has already done everything He is going to do regarding healing. Our role is to receive by faith.

Healing Continues Today

After Jesus ascended to heaven, He passed His ministry on to the early Church. The disciples preached the Word, and God confirmed it with miraculous signs.

The same pattern continues today.

Scripture says:

  • Believers will lay hands on the sick
  • The sick will recover
  • God shows no favoritism

Healing is not reserved for a special group. It is available to all who believe.

Our Healing Series Format

Because everyone’s journey is different, healing is not treated as a one‑size‑fits‑all process.

Our approach includes:

  • Group teaching to build faith
  • Private, one‑on‑one sessions
  • Personalized scriptures
  • Confidential support
  • Prayer together in person or online

If you are not local, we can still walk with you through online meetings.

Compassion Without Condemnation

We do not judge or criticize anyone who is sick or has lost loved ones. We understand there are emotional and spiritual complexities.

Our heart is to teach truth with compassion, grace, and humility—always pointing back to God’s Word, not personal experience.

Denominations vs. the Word

Many denominations exist today because of differences in interpretation and experience. While unity in Christ matters deeply, Scripture must always come first.

To grow, we must:

  • Remove filters of tradition
  • Let God teach us directly through His Word
  • Renew our minds continually

Experience should never override Scripture.
