Faith to Move Mountains
Atlin Family Church – Online Teaching
Pastors: Dale & Rena Mae McDonald
Church: Atlin Family Church
Introduction
Good morning and welcome to Atlin Family Church Online. We are so glad you’ve joined us today. We are Dale and Rena Mae McDonald, pastors of Atlin Family Church.
Today we’re sharing a message that is very close to our hearts: faith. Faith has been central to our Christian walk for many years. If we were to label our ministry, we would say we are faith teachers, grace teachers, and Bible teachers.
Faith is a foundational part of the Christian life. When faith is mixed with God’s grace and applied through His Word, it produces real, supernatural results. We’ve experienced this personally, and that’s what we want to share with you today.
Upcoming Online Healing Meeting
Before we continue, we want to remind you of an upcoming online healing meeting that will be held live on Zoom.
If you are dealing with sickness, chronic conditions, or health challenges that don’t seem to be changing, this meeting is for you. We will be teaching in more depth on healing, what the Word of God says, and how to apply Scripture to your life.
Some people receive healing instantly, while others walk through a process of learning and positioning themselves through faith. This meeting is designed to help with that journey.
To register, visit atlinfamilychurch.ca and send us a quick email requesting an invitation.
What Is True Faith?
Faith applies to every area of life. Jesus taught that we should have faith to move mountains. That raises an important question:
What is real faith, and how do we use it?
Many people equate faith with church attendance or denominational labels. Statements like “I’m Catholic” or “I’m Pentecostal” describe where someone attends church, not whether they are walking in faith.
Church attendance is good and biblical, but faith is more than belonging to a group. Without faith, church can become nothing more than a social gathering.
Faith Is a Personal Journey
Faith begins with believing. Believing is the first step into the supernatural Christian life.
Anyone can live a natural life without faith. But when we add God’s power to our natural lives, we begin to experience transformation. That requires renewing our minds to what the Word of God actually says, not just what we’ve heard from tradition or culture.
As Christians, there should be visible fruit in our lives. Being Christ‑like means living differently than the world, and that difference comes through faith in God’s Word.
Every Believer Has Faith
When we are born again, the Bible tells us that each believer receives a measure of faith. No one starts without faith. The difference between believers is not how much faith they were given, but how much they have developed it.
Faith is often compared to a muscle. If you use it, it grows stronger. If you don’t, it remains weak.
Faith grows as we renew our minds, remove unbelief, and consistently hear and apply the Word of God.
Faith Comes by Hearing
The Word of God is our operator’s manual for Christian living. It teaches us who we are in Christ, what we have in Christ, and what we can do in Christ.
Faith grows when we hear the Word, speak the Word, and act on the Word. Hearing alone is not enough. Faith must be activated through action.
Faith Is in the Heart and the Mouth
Faith works in two places:
- In the heart – believing God’s promises
- In the mouth – speaking what you believe
Speaking God’s Word is powerful. What comes out of your mouth, especially in moments of pressure or crisis, can change circumstances.
Confession simply means speaking what you believe. When we speak God’s Word, it renews our minds and strengthens our faith.
Faith Moves Mountains
Jesus said:
“Have faith in God… Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen,...
