Prayer & Friendly Advice
Life can be a challenge! At times we feel like we are being pushed into into a corner with no known options! The pressure to give up is real!
We want you to know that you are not alone! We all need a caring friend that will listen first and help you to see the big picture with friendly advice, lead of The Lord. Then to walk together towards your victory in life!
Atlin Family Church is a praying and believing church family. We live in an ever changing world and face many challenges when raising our family or living out our day to day lives whether it be within our marriages, loss of a loved one, our health, job situations or finances.
It has been said, "It takes a community to raise a child." We add, "It takes a praying community to raise a child in today's world!" Or to stand and walk with each other when we need help with our health, finances or situations we face in life.
Atlin Family Church believes God hears our prayers. We are here for you and to pray with you.
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. 1 Peter 5:7-9 NLT
We have a common enemy, but do not fear! He is only "looking for someone."
Verse 9 indicates we can stand firm against him with strong faith!
We are stronger when we stand together!
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NLT
When we gather to pray Jesus is among us!
For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:20 NLT
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16 NLT
In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. Romans 10:8-10 NLT
When we pray we must pray in faith. Find scriptures that are promises of God concerning your situation and then pray using scriptures as your foundation. We are instructed in Mark 11:22-24 to pray having faith in God or "the God kind of faith."
His Word is His will and will always agree.
Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. 24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Mark 11:22-24 NLT
The "mountain" or the problem that appears BIG in your life is what we are told to speak to directly.
